About the MAAPP Dashboard
MAAPP is the Mississippi Aid Application. But MAAPP is more than just a form to apply for financial aid. It is also an information portal for applicants, high school counselors, and postsecondary institutions. In MAAPP, high school administrators can:
- Submit student academic information, like grades and ACT scores
- Certify the HELP core curriculum
- View individual student accounts
- Generate reports to support FAFSA and MAAPP completion

Step 1: Sign Annual Participation Agreement
For high school administrators to access MAAPP, the public school district or private high school must have a signed Participation Agreement on file.
- The Participation Agreement includes all the legalese needed to ensure the protection of student data in accordance with federal law.
- The Participation Agreement must be signed electronically by the district superintendent or private school headmaster.
- The Participation Agreement must be updated annually. Superintendents/headmasters with established MAAPP access will receive an email every year in early September with instructions for renewing the Participation Agreement.
- IF the school has a new district superintendent/headmaster, please email Brandon Johnson at bjohnson@mississippi.edu to request access for the new lead administrator.
Step 2: Request User Accounts
High school counselors, district counselors, other school administrators, or teachers may request an individual MAAPP user account by clicking on the MAAPP logo above.
Step 3: Acccount Authorization
- When an account is requested, the district superintendent (if public high school) or headmaster (if private high school) will receive an email notifying them that a MAAPP account has been requested.
- The superintendent/headmaster should follow the link in the email to log into MAAPP to authorize the requested account. The lead administrator can either APPROVE or DENY each request.
- Superintendents/headmasters will have the opportunity to reauthorize existing accounts during the annual Participation Agreement renewal process.
