Homeschool Transcripts

An official transcript should be sent to our office for graduates from homeschool programs. This will be accepted in lieu of the Electronic High School Grade Verification and in lieu of counselor certification of the HELP Core Curriculum. If you are unable to request an official homeschool transcript from your program, one may be submitted by the homeschool administrator.

The official homeschool transcript must:

  • Be signed and notarized
  • Include all courses attempted, completed, in progress, and to be completed
  • Include an unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale

NOTE:  By submitting a signed and notarized transcript, applicants certify the transcript includes a complete and accurate list of the courses attempted, completed, in progress, and to be completed.  A subsequent signed and notarized transcript may be submitted to report an improved GPA, but no course-related changes on the subsequent transcript will be considered.

Transcripts should be mailed or emailed if using an electronic transcript service.

Certified Core Curriculum

The official homeschool transcript will be reviewed by our office to determine if the student meets the Certified Core Curriculum required for the HELP Grant. For additional information concerning the HELP Grant, please visit www.msfinancialaid.org/help.

Carefully review the homeschool transcript for completion before submitting it.  By submitting the signed and notarized transcript, you are certifying the transcript includes ALL courses attempted, completed, in progress, and to be completed.  NO course-related changes on a subsequent transcript will be considered.

Official ACT/SAT Score Report

Homeschool students should submit a copy of the official ACT/SAT Score Report. Scores from residual tests will not be accepted.

ACT scores can be submitted via mail, email, or fax. Please include student’s last four of social on the document.
