Welcome to the new website of the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid.
The layout is similar to the state aid pages you were familiar with on the Rise Up site. Spend some time clicking around, and let us know if you need our help. Use the contact us form below to send us an email.
The state of Mississippi provides about $40 million each year to help students go to college. The state offers three undergraduate grant programs: HELP, which awards full tuition for students with financial need; MTAG, which awards $500 per year to freshmen and sophomores and $1,000 per year to juniors and seniors; and MESG, which awards $2,500 per year to high-achieving students with a 29 or higher ACT and 3.5 or higher GPA. All three grant programs require students to enroll full-time each term. Explore the drop-down menus below to learn more about these programs and many others, and submit a 2019-20 application below to apply.
