Supporting Documents
After a student completes the online Mississippi Aid Application (MAAPP), the application isn’t complete until all supporting documents have been submitted. Some documents must be submitted directly by the student, but others are submitted by the high school.
Student Documents (due by the program supporting document deadline):
- Income Documentation (Only required for some programs) – Free Application for Federal Student Aid
- 2 Forms of Residency Documentation:
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (Preferred)
- Mississippi Driver’s License / State ID (Preferred)
- Mississippi Tax Return (State Tax Return)
- Voter Registration Card
- MS Road and Bridge Privilege Tax Receipt / Vehicle Registration
- Homestead Exemption Documentation
High School Documents (due by April 30):
- High School GPA
- ACT Score/SuperScore (or SAT Score)
- HELP Core Curriculum Certification
Missing Document Notices
- As soon as a student applies online, the student will begin receiving texts and/or emails instructing the student to check their MAAPP account to view a list of supporting documents that need to be submitted.
- Applicants who are only missing high school documents will not receive these notices until after March 1.
- If a student checks their MAAPP account, all missing documents will be listed. Before March 1, the high school documents will be listed separately with a note that indicates the high school will submit the documents in the spring by April 30.
