Follow this “map” to take a tour of the sections and functionality in MAAPP.
Dashboard
After logging into MAAPP, you will see your MAAPP Dashboard, which shows you metrics about the students at your school, including:
- How many have completed the MAAPP
- How many have completed the FAFSA
- How many have missing different residency or other personal documents
- How many are missing an ACT score
- How many are missing the HELP Core Curriculum Certification
- How many are missing GPA information
Students
If you click on Students on the left-hand sidebar, you can see a list of all the students at your school who has filed either a MAAPP or a FAFSA for the selected aid year.
If you click on a student’s name, you will be able to see the Student Details Panel.
Student Details Panel
The Student Detail Panel consists of multiple tabs that show you virtually the same view as what the student sees from his/her own dashboard. There are multiple tabs within the Student Details Panel:
- Overview Tab – Includes a checklist of application Milestones and Mississing Documents
- Applicant Tab – Contains the student’s demographic information as provided on the MAAPP or FAFSA
- Academic Tab – Displays the student’s high school information and intended college information
- FERPA Tab – Displays the student’s FERPA release information as provided on the MAAPP
- Documents Tab – Lists all the supporting documents requested for the student, the status of the document, the date it was requested, the date it was received, and the deadline by which each document must be received to qualify for the various programs
- Awards Tab – Displays the program through which the student has been awarded (typcially updated in late June/early July after the student graduates in May once a state aid award has been offered – see Awards Process and Timeline)
- High School Tab – Displays all the high school information the Office has on file for the student, such as GPA, Graduation Date, ACT Score/Superscore, HELP Core Curriculum Certification, etc. If you click the blue “Edit Info” button, you can edit any of the information listed on the High School tab. Be sure to certify the information is correct and click “Save”. Learn more about Submitting Student Information.
Reports
See a list of the students at your high school along with numerous filters which you can use to create shorter lists of students who meet certain criteria.
Export your reports by clicking on the blue “Export Report” button in the top right-hand corner.

Activity Log
See a history of the actions you have taken in MAAPP, such as when you logged in and out, when you signed your Certification Statement, and when you updated student information.
Participation Agreement
View a copy of your high school’s Participation Agreement that allows you to access MAAPP, see who signed the Participation Agreement, and see when it was signed.
Settings
Access and update your personal settings.
- Change your email address or password
- Change your role (High School Counselor, District Counselor, Superintendent/Headmaster, etc.)
- Change your high school if you change schools. If you update your school, you will lose all access to the old school and have to be authorized by the superintendent/headmaster of the new school. Learn more about Unlocking MAAPP Dashboard Access.
View your document share portal pin, which you will need to upload the High School Grade File. Learn more about Submitting Student Information.
Access MAAPP
Unlock access to MAAPP. Request an account. Signing the Participation Agreement or Certification Statement.
Generate Reports
Generate FAFSA and MAAPP completion status, missing documents, and other reports in MAAPP.
Submit Student Information
Submit or update student academic information individually through MAAPP or as a batch file.
