Mississippi Aid Application
Overview
The Mississippi Aid Application (MAAPP) is the online system for applying for and managing state financial aid programs. While MAAPP is an application, it is also an account that you can use to manage your state aid.
MAAPP is separate from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completing the FAFSA does not apply you for state financial aid. To be considered for any state financial aid program, you must complete the MAAPP.
There is one application used for all state aid programs; however, eligibility requirements and deadlines vary by program. You must submit a new MAAPP each academic year you are enrolled.
Submitting the MAAPP is only the first step. After applying, students must:
- Verify their MAAPP account
- Regularly check their account for updates
- Submit any required supporting documents
Staying engaged with your MAAPP account is essential to receiving and keeping state financial aid.
