State Aid Redesign Study Committee
The demand for state funded student financial aid grows each year. Unfortunately, the state has not been able to fully-fund the Student Financial Aid programs for the past several years. A group of legislators led by Chairman Briggs Hopson asked for a comprehensive review of the Student Financial Aid programs in hopes of finding a long-term solution that meets state and student needs. The State Aid Study Committee was appointed to evaluate the programs and discuss possible solutions.
The committee held four meetings. Information shared during the meetings is included here.
