High School Advising Resources
This page includes resources that high schools can use to answer questions about the financial aid process, including applications, supporting documents, and the awards process and timeline.
Missing Document Notices
- After a student completes the Mississippi Aid Application (MAAPP), the application isn’t complete until all supporting documents have been submitted. Some documents must be submitted directly by the student, but others are submitted by the high school.
- As soon as a student applies online, they will begin receiving texts and/or emails instructing them to check their MAAPP account to view a list of supporting documents that need to be submitted.
- Applicants who are only missing high school documents will not receive these notices until after March 1.
- If a student checks their MAAPP account, all missing documents will be listed. Before March 1, the high school documents will be listed separately, with a note indicating that the high school will submit them in the spring by April 30.
