Access MAAPP for High Schools

What is MAAPP?

MAAPP is the Mississippi Aid Application, but it’s more than just an application.

MAAPP is also an information portal for applicants, high school counselors, and postsecondary institutions.

In MAAPP, high school counselors can:

  • Submit student academic information, like grades and ACT scores
  • View individual student accounts
  • Generate reports to support FAFSA and MAAPP completion

How to Access MAAPP?

Step 1: Sign the Annual Participation Agreement

For high school administrators to access MAAPP, the public school district or private high school must have a signed Participation Agreement on file.

  • The Participation Agreement includes all the legalese needed to ensure the protection of student data in accordance with federal law.
  • The Participation Agreement must be signed electronically by the district superintendent or private school headmaster.
  • The Participation Agreement must be updated annually. Superintendents/headmasters with established MAAPP access will receive an email in early September each year with instructions for renewing the Participation Agreement.
  • IF the school has a new district superintendent/headmaster, please email sfasupport@mississippi.edu to request access for the new lead administrator.

Step 2: Request User Accounts

High school counselors, district counselors, other school administrators, or teachers may request an individual MAAPP user account by clicking the MAAPP Dashboard button above.

Step 3: Account Authorization

  • When an account is requested, the district superintendent (if a public high school) or headmaster (if a private high school) will receive an email notifying them that a MAAPP account has been requested.
  • The superintendent/headmaster should use the link in the email to log in to MAAPP and authorize the requested account.  The lead administrator can either APPROVE or DENY each request.
  • Superintendents/headmasters will have the opportunity to reauthorize existing accounts during the annual Participation Agreement renewal process.
