How to Submit ACT Scores

Students

The Office will only accept ACT scores/Superscores from ACT scoreA test required or accepted at all public and many private universities in Mississippi. 1. Request your high school counselor to submit the score for you through MAAPP, or
2. Log in to your MyACT account (my.act.org) and request that your scores be sent to a new institution.  Send scores to the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid (institution code #2431). There may be an additional fee to submit scores.  After sending your scores, please allow us two weeks to receive and process the scores before contacting us.  Please do not pay for more than one score submission.

Unacceptable ACT Scores and Reports

• Screenshots of test scores that do not indicate the student’s name, ACT ID, test date, and score information
• Residual ACT scores
• ACCUPLACER test scores
• ACT WorkKeys
• ACT scores obtained after a student begins college coursework

Counselors 

You can report both a composite score with test date and/or a Superscore in MAAPP.  Superscores may also be submitted as part of the high school grade file.  Superscores should only be reported if the Superscore was calculated by ACT and appeared in an ACT publication (score report, score file, or the student’s MyACT account).  Do not submit a composite or Superscore that you have manually calculated.

ACT Superscores

ACT Superscoring takes the highest ACT subject test score across all administrations and recalculates a composite score based on the highest subtest scores.

Enhanced ACT

ACT has transitioned to the enhanced ACT, which no longer requires the science subtest. As a result, ACT Superscores are now calculated from English, math, and reading scores. The Office will not recalculate Superscores to include the science subtest.
