Role of College Staff in State Aid Administration

• Create and submit grade and enrollment files for Mississippi residentAn applicant who meets the state’s legal residency requirements. Applicants must be a Mississippi resident to qualify for most state financial aid programs. Residency requirements differ for dependent students (based on their parents’ residency) and independent students. students
• Submit and verify additional student information through MAAPP
• Ensure state funds are received and processed to student accounts appropriately by the college
• Help students understand the state financial aid process and timeline
• Answer questions from students about their state financial aid application
