Access MAAPP for Colleges
What is MAAPP?
MAAPP is the Mississippi Aid Application, but it’s more than just an application.
MAAPP is also an information portal for applicants, high school counselors, and college financial aid administrators.
- Submit student grade and enrollment verification
- Submit the award package information for FAITH recipients
- Verify student dependency status
- View individual student accounts
- Generate reports to support state aid eligibility and aid the college in packaging state aid
Access MAAPP
Step 1: Sign the Annual Participation Agreement
For financial aid administrators to access MAAPP, the college must have a signed Participation Agreement on file.
- The Participation Agreement includes all the legalese needed to ensure the protection of student data in accordance with federal law.
- The Participation Agreement must be signed electronically by the college’s Financial Aid Director.
- The Participation Agreement must be updated annually.
- IF the school has a new Financial Aid Director, please email sfasupport@mississippi.edu to request access.
Step 2: Request User Accounts
- Financial Aid Administrators may request an individual MAAPP user account by opening MAAPP and selecting the option to request a Financial Aid Administrator account.
- Admissions Officers and Recruiters may request view-only access to MAAPP by opening MAAPP and requesting a Financial Aid Viewer account.
Step 3: Account Authorization
- When an account is requested, the Financial Aid Director will receive an email notifying them that a MAAPP account has been requested.
- The Financial Aid Director should click the link in the email to log in to MAAPP and authorize the requested account. The Director can either APPROVE or DENY each request.
- Financial Aid Directors will have the opportunity to reauthorize existing accounts during the annual Participation Agreement renewal process.
