The offices of the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning have experienced a network security incident. Services at the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid have been impacted by this incident. No impact to any individual higher educational institution has been reported. External cybersecurity professionals have been engaged to determine what, if any, confidential or sensitive data may have been accessed or compromised. At this time, the investigation is in its earliest stage.

Each state aid recipient must maintain a program-specific college grade point average to continue to receive funds under the renewal process. The recipient must also maintain continuous full-time enrollment status at one Mississippi institution of higher learning.
